I'm probably the last person here to discover this site, but I've been having some fun this snowy morning creating some remarkable effects with my photos. For instance, Sayre in spray paint:

Bautieri up in lights for the Tour de Cure:

Stoutdog along the road:

And Sayre again, this time expressing his feelings for the cold:

But I'll leave you with my favorite:

I don't make a very good Sphinx:

But the 2010 Clyde of the Year makes a pretty good wall picture:

That last Sayre shot looks like a model from a catalog. Seriously. Was that posed, or candid?

Candid. He wasn't aware I was taking a photo.

I try not to pose subjects since they 'freeze' and lose the natural quality I look for. As an example, TheStoutDog and his son (apologies for the overexposed photos):

Posed:

Taken 1 second before the posed photo:

http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/37156_1537136680830_1607271639_1266459_2732809_n.jpg

The second photo is much better in my opinion, since it not only represents both subjects but also captures the feeling between father and son.

Anyway, the Sayre photo, despite the fact his head is slightly out of focus, captures the quiet confidence the man had at that moment.
