Folding Bikes - short ergonomic grip?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I think I'm pre-arthritic, and regular grips really hurt my hands.
had good luck on my full-sized bike with Bontrager Satellite Plus ergonomic grips, which are similar to the Ergon line. But they are r-e-a-l-l-y long and my folder has short handlebars.
are there any short ergonomic grips out there? I only have 60-80mm of space thanks to bar ends, and the shortest I've found is the ergon gp-1 at 95mm. I suppose I could move the grip shifters further in but would rather not. another possibility is to buy a pair of regular grips and then slice them to size.
btw I would want a pair with a clamp so they don't slide around.

The shortest grip I've seen is 90mm but not with the clamp. Guess you'll have to move your shifters in a bit.

looks that way. found some 95mm ergon gripshifters with clamps. hopefully won't need to cut them down.

You can cut the bontrager grips down easily with a hacksaw. I had to cut one of mine to make room for the grip shifter.

I cut my ergons with a hacksaw too. It pained me, but that was the only way to make them fit.
Dremel tool can make the grips look cleaner

Ergon Grips for bikes with Grip-shifters are pretty short ,
you can get them with Integrated bar ends too..

Suggest these from Performance - I installed them on our Bike Friday Pocket 8's.
I cut the right one at about 65mm to match-up with the 8-speed grip shifter - they work great and they are cheap if you make a mistake or don't like them. They can be cut easily with utility knife.

wandt, you mean a dremel to polish the cut grip?
FT, thanks - I tried that with some Bell grips, but they just didn't have the right platform. also, they kept slipping because there was no locknut.
just got some of the Ergon gripshifters recommended by fietsbob. they are STILL too long but I may cut them down further.

well, I had to take the hacksaw to get it done. in retrospect probably could've left the left-hand side one alone, but the gripshift is so long on the right-hand side that there was no choice.
console, left to right:
* bar end (I know ergon sells grips with built-in bar ends, but they're puny and you can really stretch out with these)
* ergon grip
* front shifter
* incredibell
* magicshine
* Garmin 705
* AirZound (slightly hidden)
* back shifter
* ergon grip - cutting this one down so far was painful!)
* bar end
