Northeast - Need some advice on where to buy in NYC
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm looking for suggestions on shops that may carry older Italian road bikes in the $500-$700 range. It doesn't have to have anything fancy on it, but I'd like a decent frame. Any suggestions? I'm located in Forest Hills but am willing to go anywhere as long as the MTA can get me there (or if you can suggest anywhere else that I may find this I am happy to pay shipping).

In Brooklyn 718 cyclery...I'm pretty sure that Joe Nocella (shop owner) will help you find a frame; if he doesn't already have one.
I remember seeing a bottecchia--I would try him.
