Oh you mean like a hollowpoint. You can also fill the thing with mercury and that'll atomize on impact and punch a pretty big hole too, not to mention the poison. I was thinking more of if you symmetrically disrupt the geometry of the bullet, then it'll shatter and rip though someone on impact.

I'm just wondering, realistically, what would you guys have done and what would've been the best course of action had you been in the car?

I used to and will again oct. 25th and forward carry a 9mm compact between my driver's chair and the console. I keep it loaded with a full magazine in it, none chambered, with the safety off. In this specific case I most likely would have waited til he was away from my door and gotten out. Too much risk trying to shoot out my window hitting another vehicle. If he came back at me after exiting my vehicle I would have unloaded without hesistation. I have been approached before with someone threatening to basically beat me til I couldn't breathe and as i said before I chambered one....I am a firm believer in guns and their use in defending yourself.
