Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - 1990/92 Schwinn (Waterford) Paramount OS, very low miles.

I'm comtemplating a '90/'92 era Waterford built Paramount OS. 700c, Dura-Ace, etc.

What would be a fair offer?

To my eye, that bike looks unridden. It is a very popular size with top of the line components and an enviable colour, I doubt the seller would have a hard time getting $700 for it, even though it has downtube shifters.

Didn't Paramounts of this time frame have cable guides integrated into the headtube? I own a 1992 model with full Dura Ace. I'm biased but would think 1200 to 1500 hundred.

This 1994 Waterford Paramount (540ALWA94012) doesn't have head tube mounted cable guides. Tubing is 753 OS. The frame and fork were $535 on eBay. I'm guessing a fair price for the complete bike Bob is looking at would be $1000 or so.

I'm with Stan. People try to get $1200-1500 for those in really good condition, and consistently fail. I sold a nearly identical (except for color) frame on ebay in pristine condition for about $600 several years ago, when the market was stronger. I'd say $800-1000 is the range for that bike.
