A friend dropped his bike it broke the shifter cover. I am trying to find this part for him & no luck, so far. If anyone has one or know where I can get one, let me know. A bike shop hasn't been very helpful.
Shifter is a Shimano SB - C050 , & I found a part # online that is , Y-6EA 98020.
The reference number you posted is for a Shimano Tourney combined brake/shifter console specifically intended to be used with a roller brake assembly (drum).
Hardly an expensive item to replace even if you had to buy the whole brake /shifter module. But I never had an experience with any dealer refusing to order parts if they were available.
But it might be a long wait and they might expect you to pay up front on a special order. So what was your own experience with that particular dealer?

Shop just stated , very quickly, " you can't get parts for those !"
Do you have a link to a shifter that would be a replacement. It is 21 spds, total.
