I was coming to work when this DJ on the radio says "if you are driving around downtown Orlando I suggest you look at the sky, east-north-east, right about now....". So I looked and OMG! Freaking shuttle going up! Well it was more like a tiny dot with a big column of smoke behind it... anyway, I found it inspiring and wanted to share.

See ya.

A guy in another bikeforum I'm on posted a pic of this - taken from his backyard. Sweet that you saw this!!!

I watched the last launch via Nasa website on my computer - with my Boss (a total space nut) on her computer in her office - we had sound way up - it was pretty cool and she loved it! Wish I had remembered to put in my calendar to watch this one too. :(

Saw one when I lived in Orlando in '93-94; they broadcast it that day, so I got to watch the televised version until the real one appeared on the horizon! OOHHHHH -- DX LIKE BIG FLAME TRAIL!!!!

A few years back I saw the shuttle when it was in route to land. A co-worker got on the radio and told everyone to look up. It was at night. That was awesome!
