Foo - incomprehensible

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

This afternoon I have had full, but slow access to bf, and nothing else on the internet. No google. No yahoo. Nothing. I normally use google chrome, and so tried firefox. Nothing. Does bf have its own server? This despite the fact that my modem shows no internet, but my computer tells me I have it.
My guess... your DNS serers were down but BF's ip address was already cached so you could still resolve that, ergo it worked.
PS: Because all my providers have proven to be unreliable when it comes to DNS, I've switched to google's free dns:
Primary: 8.8.8.8
Secondary: 8.8.4.4
Works like a charm.

Incomprehensible ≠ inconceivable.
Jus' sayin'!
Have you been teleported to China, by any chance? We're all about random internets annoyances over here.
