Randonneuring is unsupported long-distance riding, usually 200k and up. I got started in this a couple of years ago and have really enjoyed the experience. A lot of the people in Lone Star Randonneurs are really excellent riders; others, like me, got involved first and are still working on being good riders.

On occasion, we have a "Permanent Populaire", which is a ride that everyone is invited to. You all are invited to come ride with us on Saturday, March 5th. This is a 100k ride that starts in Grand Prairie and goes down to Maypearl and back. You'll get to experience country roads, a few hills, a few dogs, some nice scenery, maybe even some good company. Email me at stephenhazelton@yahoo.com, and I can get you full details on the ride.

I can't do the ride, but if the map is available somewhere, I'd like to give it a shot...Maypearl is a nice part of this region of Texas.
