Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Pictures of the Mount

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello all
I am mostly a lurker, but I love the info I get here. I always check out the other categories, too. BUT I feel the thread missing from the Clydes is one that shows our bikes. A permanent one that people can always go back to.
True to my lurker nature, I don't have a picture to post, YET!
lets get it done people.
Thanks
i bought this yesterday but had my truck so i couldn't take it home (and it snowed 6+ inches yesterday). have the wifes Subaru, so i'll pick it up this afternoon.

I love this bike. Bought at 316lbs and a few thousand miles later, I have had only two punctures - zero wheel issues or mechanical problems. All carbon.

I don't have a white garage door, so these are taken against a white car. And I know, they're taken from the wrong side of the bike.

This one is kind of like the old hammer that's been in the family for generations, but has had the head and the handle replaced several times - it was a 21 or 22 year old Trek 1500, but the frame was replaced under warranty about 10 years ago due to a crack that developed at the rear dropouts, and the rear derailleur had to be replaced last fall because of a failure with a jockey wheel bolt, and the brake levers were replaced almost immediately when I got the bike because the hoods of the original Shimano 600 (the precursor to Ultegra) were so uncomfortable to hold onto. In fact, not even the ones in the pic are still on the bike. When I swapped stems over the winter I replaced the brake levers with some nice smooth ones from Cane Creek.

I had an Aluminum Roubaix and it was comfy. My current bike is a Cervelo S1. I'm slowly getting closer to 200 pounds. 208 right now.

Been riding the Zipp's since the early 90's, The Cannondale was my winter bike for years until I gave it to a friend last summer. Plan on getting a mountain bike some time this year, it's been over 12 years since I last had one. The disassemble Zipp is almost done and will be my main ride this year.

Last year in the blue bonnets. I know kind a cheesy picture, but I think it turned out nice. I have not got a pic of the Trek that I just modified, but I do have a before pic.

Here is my current steed. I have a different seat on it now. But otherwise its still the same, just a little dirtier. I also have a very beat up GT outpost that I use/abuse for riding on the GAP with family.
