A few weeks ago I posted that while traveling with my bike, the weather did a job on the saddle even though I had it covered with a plastic grocery back. Wind ripped it apart, then the saddle would get soaked, grimy etc. Someone recommended wrapping the plastic tighty with duct tape. Well I did it and it worked perfectly on a 5 hundred mile drive yesterday. Driving about 450 today, we'll see if it continues to protect the saddle. Not sure who suggested it, but whomever it was, thanks!!

No universal repair toolbox is complete w/o duct tape and WD40.

Fixed it for you.

If it moves, and it's not supposed to, wrap it with duct tape. If it doesn't move, and it's supposed to, spray it with WD40.

You could have just removed it.

Oh sure, be practical. Where's the fun in that!

You could have just removed it.

way too easy and then I would have had to duct tape the opening in the tube.

Life is simple if we all would just focus on he fundamentals... drugs, sex, duct tape, rock and roll and something else that I forget. What's so simple about this. I can't even keep them in order.

so long as you don't wd-40 that end, and probably need to double up on the chamois thickness in your biking shorts.
