Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - 1956 Girl's ColorFlow

Any thoughts on what this bike might be worth? It is an older restoration, with some damage due to many moves over the 20 years I've had it. On a scale of 1-10 cosmetically, I'd say it's a 6. It is ridable, but could use a rebuild of the crankset and coaster brake. It has that odd double-wide tooth on the chain ring. I think it is a '56. Badge looks great. Jewels on luggage rack are original. Handlebars have heavy scratches from abuse at the hands of some demented kid having fun. Headlight could work with some care. Thanks for your input: it is time to get rid of non-essential 'stuff'.

neat lookign bike. how was it restored? like firearms sometimes restoration can be the death nell for value.

It was restored by an art professor at Arizona State University in the late 1980's. He did restorations as a hobby, including 40 or so old pre- and post-war bicycles. I don't really know the details of what he did or how much is new parts. The rims and spokes look new to me, as do the fenders. There is no wrinkling of the metal, as will happen when you repair bends. He was either a magician with sheet metal, or had good part sources. The jewels and the handlebars are definitely original, and have the scars to prove it. The seat has a new cover on it, nicely done. New rubber for old pedals. The crank set is a little rough: I wouldn't ride this bike for any more than a few blocks. The coaster brake is more coaster than brake. Don't try it on a descent. All new decals. I moved it a number of time (6?) and those gorillas are the worst thing for your stuff. Tell'em to be careful and they give it an extra whack and put a refrigerator on top of it. It's still a great bike to behold and, with a good restorer's knowledge, a good rider as well. I'd like to sell, but don't know the market.
