Hi,
anyone have any views on the changes that Dahon have made to aspects of their bikes in the last couple of years? The handlepost clamps from the outside, I've noticed. I haven't had a chance to look closely at the new design but I'm doubtful it's a significant improvement. . .unless it requires less maintenance. The old design tended to require frequent tightening/tensioning, I found.
I'm also wondering if the dual-legged kickstand makes a big difference (on IGH bikes). I bought a second-hand Curve recently and I've found it's harder to roll when folded than 20" wheel bikes which I like to roll with the seat post fully inserted, i.e. I can roll them and stand them without changing seat post extension. But with the Curve the geometry makes this not entirely comfortable for someone of my height, so I'm thinking the newer type of kickstand would be useful (at a significant weight penalty) as I could leave the seat post extended.
