Hey all,

I live in Philly and am thinking about doing the Hell of Hunterdon ride. See http://hellofhunterdon.com/

I don't have a car, so my options are either to rent a car or to carpool. If you're heading up there and have some space, I'd be very grateful for a round-trip ride. I'll show my gratitude by paying for gas!

Let me know.

best,
Chris

Doubt I will go, but an unsolicited piece of advice: Wider tires might be a good idea. I know Quarry and Stomph Tavern Rds. They can be a real mess gravel/rock-wise.

Damn!!! Where was that ride when I lived in Ewing NJ?

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably be on 28's...

It looks like I'm probably not getting a ride. If anyone else is in my carless situation and is on the route between Philly and Lambertville, let me know and I'll gladly help you get there with a rental.

There is great riding in Hunterdon, Warren and Somerset Counties. I usually ride out of L'Ville and Bull's Island (on Rte. 29 north of Stockton, NJ) several times a year. The terrain and scenery is quite different than S. Jersey.

If you do any touring, Bull's Island is a great destination. Weather permitting, the GF and I will be riding to Bull's Island on Good Friday for a long weekend as we have done the last two years. The first year we had the place to ourselves Saturday night before Easter. Kind of spooky. Last year, there were only a handful of people there.
