I've been on a freecoaster for about 14 years now. Also have tried coaster and the east coaster... Before I rode a freewheel for the first 3 years I rode.

I've been using a 11-tooth cassette for about year now, after using 16-tooth freewheels since '94.

A cassette doesent have a freewheel. You can run smaller cogs on it.. I run a 13 on mine. I dont know much about freecoasters, just that your bike can go backwards without you having to pedal backwards.
