Hi everyone --

I'm looking for suggestions on where to keep my bike. My building has a bike room but crammed full of junkers, so worried my expensive carbon bike will get beat up there. Keeping it in my apartment is a non starter. Anyone know of convenient place to keep it (preferably on UES)? I'm willing to pay for a spot. Do car garages do that?

Thanks,
Mark

Commercial garages now have to accept bikes and post the rates alongside car rates.
Some are really excessive but there are some that charge as little as $20/month. Others may ignore the law completely.

Car garages might do it, but they won't guarantee you any sort of protection.

I definitely would not leave it in the lobby, it'll get stolen.

What conditions prevent you from storing it in the apartment?

Why not rent a storage space for the junkers and keep your nice bike in your apartment? Around the Philly area you can get storage spaces pretty cheap, not sure how it is up in NYC.
