Unfortunately I don't have a pic right now but I'm thinking of parting ways with a 1990 Trek 1400 aluminum with Shimano 105 and the upgrade from downtube shifters to RSX100 brifters.

Nice shape cosmetically and a 58cm frame.

I'm only selling to make room for an addition and I'm thinking $380 - $400 considering the brifters.

Does that sound reasonable in a fairly hot seller market like the twin cities?

I would be looking to get something in the $300 - $350 range in Boston in the spring. If it's really clean, new cables, tires etc. and you have a good listing with good pictures I think you could probably get around $350 in a strong city market.

FYI I sold a similar era aluminum 1200? (spreadsheet is at home) with a lesser group for $300 last spring. But it was basically unridden and in perfect shape.

Around here that is a $275 bike. Adjust for your area accordingly. Older aluminum Treks get very little response. I would be pulling off the STI stuff and putting DT levers on it instead. With DT levers, I could get $250 for it here.
