Hello,
I am not sure if I can get in trouble for this, but I saw the 2005 Haro MTB Catalog today and YOWZA! I mean I can not begin to tell you how much they have improved there line of bicycles. I have been pretty interested in the Haro X3 for some time now, it is a nice Freeride bike that won't be utterly impossible to get up a hill. Very sturdy and burly, and when I rode one it was awesome. I felt extremely safe on it.
I saw what they have done with the 2005's. 7 inch of travel front and rear, and they are using a monitou in the front now, and I am unsure of what is in the rear. They are using 8 inch rotors in the front and rear and it is a hydraulic disk brake system, forget if it was shimano or hayes though. The frame looked almost a little more like the 04 werx frame, and it had all of the other bells and whistles that you would expect. The rear shock is an upgrade, and the frame looks like it has been worked on. Probably going to be another 40 pounder though.
The best part, is that the bike shop expects them to be around $1700.00 usd when they come out. That is one hell of a bargain, being that it is the same price (about) as the 2004 with an inch more of travel front and rear, better brakes and a better design. It might even be lighter because I would expect the monitou fork to be lighter than that beastly marzoochi Dirt Jumper fork....
