Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Spring or not spring touring saddle?

Pros: Lots of people find that they're more comfortable.
Cons: Sometimes you get stuck with a squeaky one.

The brooks saddle springs are pretty stiff, fine for clyde..

That B90/3 looks like something you'd see in a sadistic dentist's office.

I ride a B17 and my wife rides the flyer. She is 140lbs give or take and doen't really notice the springs. She also is not very observant so who knows. Myself at 210 dont miss the springs. Now like Sheldon Brown says, my bars are below my seat and she rides more upright so thats probably why I dont miss the springs. I decided no springs purely on a looks.

There is also NO danger of it ever blowing away in a wind storm either. :)
