BMX - Can u buy a BMX bike without knowing how to do stunt and because BMX bikes is light?

are you asking if you can buy a bmx bike just because you like how light they are, but you can't do any tricks? if thats the case, its fine you can buy whatever you want man its your money.

No, the Backtrail is built for freestyle/dirt. It is in the over 30 category (over 30 pounds) and probably weighs the same or more than a lot of mountain bikes out there.
If you goal is to get from point A to point B, then road bikes, which are built to take zero abuse, but to go places quickly is the way to go.
Mountain bikes usually fall in the middle. They can take some abuse, but not a lot of lateral (side to side) stress. They have shocks to deal with a lot of the stress as well, so the bikes are built with less material. Plus, no pegs or gyro brings the weight down.
Freestyle bikes are built around strength. They can handle (for a while at least) all kinds of crazy stress. They also basically have ALL the same parts as mountain and road bikes. The wheels and frame is smaller, but has all the same tubes. But, to deal with strength issues, the bikes are built up a lot more than other types of bikes.
The ONLY exception to this is bmx racing bikes which are built very weight consciously and also can't handle the same stressors that freestyle bikes can. I always have considered racing (bmx) a completely different sport than freestyle (bmx) for every aspect of it being different. Still cycling, just completely different. Kind of like figure skating vs. speed skating - both are skating but everything is different.

If your not doing tricks.. why does your bike need to be light?to learn to do tricks....but i don even know 1 tricks...i onli know how to pull the handle bar and make the wheels go up by about 10cm...i learning new tricks now..

Buy a BMX, we need more riders. I ride Mtn. because AZ has alot of trails. But I street ride every other night downtown.

Look - if you want to LEARN to do tricks, than you gotta get a halfway decent (read: entry level!) bmx bike. Of COURSE you should (and can) buy a bmx bike if your intent is to learn some tricks.
I don't think Haro is bad, but you will find some better values at places like www.danscomp.com - check the DK Cincinatti - a good price for a decent ENTRY LEVEL bike.
Don't spend more than 300 bucks U.S.A. on your first bike. You WILL replace it completely within about 2-3 years if you stick with it, but if you don't, then you aren't out $500+.

I think his english might be a little rusty, but he's not illiterate that I can see? From my personal experience the only light BMX bikes I have run across are of the vintage variety? I have a full chromoly early 80's Mongoose that I can pick up with one finger. While newer BMX bikes might be strong as hell, light is not a word I would use to describe them.,,,,BD
