Hi
My partner/stoker and I will be touring in France in May. We would like to start in Biarritz and do the Pyrenee's. We did it in 2001 and experienced no difficulties getting the tandem on to an Air France puddle hopper. A few years later, we had to beg, bribe and grovel to get them to take it. They said it must go air freight but we finally got it on board. They said the luggage handlers only take 50 pounds or something like that. *whew*
The bike doesn't break down very well at all. Like, at all! It's a pretty big clunker but after 9 international trips on it, we have grown quite fond of the beast!
It's been a few years since we went so I was hoping someone had some ideas on how to navigate the trains there or any other airlines. Maybe we should just wing it again.
