I have been running a forum for the Birdy Full Suspension Folding Bike for about 5 years now. See, http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/birdybike/
People should distinguish between collapsible and folding bikes. The Moulton and Bike Friday, and bikes converted with S&S couplers are collapsing bikes. These are excellent for trips and touring but don't serve well if you need to fold/unfold often and do it quickly. The Brompton and Birdy are good examples of top of the line folders. They fold very small in 10-15 seconds. Either is a good choice. The Brompton folds slightly smaller than Birdy. The Birdy is a higher performance bike, more suitable for touring than the Brompton, IMHO, which is a good choice for many commuters (where the distance isn't too great and there aren't any challenging hills).
As the price of gas goes up I expect more people will become familiar with these bikes ;)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
