My wife has a Giant Suede lifestyle/cruiser bike and I have a Specialized Hardrock 29er. A carrier that will work for the 29er is easy, but I'm a little uncertain on a lifestyle bike with a hitch mounted carrier.
A carrier that holds the bikes by the wheels will obviously work, but I'm wondering if there is something that holds by the frame which would work on a like that of the Giant Suede?
This the type of solution you're looking for? http://www.amazon.com/Allen-Tension-Bicycle-Cross-Bar-Adaptor/dp/B000ELSSZE/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1299452900&sr=8-11

Yep, they're a dime a dozen. We use them with my kids bikes on our swing-arm hitch carrier.
