Should be gone already if it is straight (no damage). Study first, then launch when you see a deal. Anything decent for $100 or less will not last long in most markets. In ready to ride condition, would sell for about $250 around here. Minneapolis is a stronger market.

Mechanical condition is the only question. If the chain is slipping, you might be in for a new chain and freewheel, so budget accordingly.

I actually contacted the guy and am going to look at it tomorrow or Thursday. He said he was 6'3'' and it was too small for him, and I am 6' so hopefully it's perfect for me. I kind of thought it was a good deal just from looking around this site, but I just wanted to ask. What should I look out for when I see it? Thanks for the comments.

Google what to look for, its been covered many times. Stuck seat post and stuck stem are the top two, then rust and frame dents.

If you want the bike contact the guy and tell him you will be there tomorrow with cash.

wrk101 is right, it won't last long (unless you're very rural or something).

Better yet, buy a tall $50 hybrid and trade him straight up for it :)

go to classicfuji.com to find out what year, specs, etc.

i bought a 1984 team fuji a few years ago from a ghetto bike shop.

turned it into a ss/fg, built my first wheel (rear) for it.

just bought a dura ace 7700 group for it; may rebuild the rear wheel and drop in an ultegra 6500 hub i have laying around.

make sure the wheels are good/true - replacing them can cost as much as the bike.
