Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - Matching schwinn suburban

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
My brother just acquired a nice set of 1970 Schwinn Suburban bicycles. :love:They have been stored in an attic and appear almost brand new. Can anyone tell me anything about them. They are real nice. If he parts with them, I was hoping to actually get them for my wife and I, they have that classic vintage look and that is a thumbs up in my book.

The Schwinn suburban is a fairly heavy bike and doesn't have much value beyond its functionality as a get around cruiser. I typically buy these used for between $15 and $35 fix them up and sell them to college kids for between $100 to $150.
If they are in ridable shape they are good to have around for just riding around town and not worrying about getting a nicer bike stolen or banged up...
What did you brother pay for them? Since its your brother I would give him $120 for both and a six pack of beer.
Just makes sure the tires and tubes don't need replacing if they have been sitting that long they are likely dry rotted and need to be replaced.
