so i started riding on the trainer in january, just doing unstructured workouts and tempo rides. these have been about an hour or so in length, and a few outside longer rides. so far i have about 775 miles in. i have a race in marblehead coming up in the next two weeks, and i was wondering what workouts could possibly salvage 3 months of unstructured time. its a circuit race with one hill, so it will be fast and furious. i'll be racing in the 4/5s let me know if you're coming!

so, what can i do?

if it were me Id do a few 5x5's or maybe some WRI's, but 2 weeks isnt going to get you very far.

I would just pedal as much as possible between now and then.

Also, I think I'd just treat the race itself as training. That is, don't worry about your placing but focus on race-specific things like matching surges, being smooth in corners, staying near the front, etc.

Ride as much as possible, that's all I did this spring was just riding as much as I could when it wasn't snowing and such and I had my first race last weekend (crit) and I felt fine so just ride as much as possible and get some hard rides in to strengthen the legs

Yeah this is a relatively low priority race, but i'm in the sponsoring club so i suppose there's some pressure there. but these are definitely things i will pay attention to

thanks, all
