Touring - advice on build please.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

okay i have the trailer bought, look alike bob.
now i need to sort out my raleigh 753 road bike.
the groupset thats on it is useless for touring i need a triple chainset front/rear derailers sti leavers prefaired 9 speed.
okay i don't have a fortune to spend so i need to know what works well together and wont break the bank. :thumb:
I recently put a 3 year old 9 spd 105 BB, shifters, triple cranks & front mech on my tourer. I got them from a friend off a bike he bought for the frame. They work beautifully with my XT rear mech, hubs and 11-34 Sram cassette.
I got the 105 bits for well under US$300, in excellent condition. Deals are out there.

Can you host the photos on photobucket.com? If so, that is the easiest way to post images onto bikeforums. Copy and paste the image code from photobucket directly into a message.

Thanks antokelly, just finished up this conversion. Can your son upload the photos to photobucket? You might then be able to go there and copy and paste the code.
