Hi everyone,

I recently moved to VA Beach from Indiana and have been researching road bikes for the past 2.5 years. I'm ready to buy and have set a price point, picked out a few bikes, and saved the cash to buy! I've settled on the 2011 Specialized SL2 Tarmac w/105 group set. I'm hoping to buy Thursday 3/17! This will be my first road bike, but I am physically fit, 28 yrs old, and very passionate about my hobbies. I will most likely end up upgrading after two years or so.. haha. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to long rides on weekends and intense rides during the weekdays. I could use all the advice available, so please look for my posts and feel free to respond! Thanks...

FYI, the models I fell in love with and narrowed it down to were the Madone 4.7, Tarmac w/105, and Cannondale Super Six. I'm 6'3 245lbs, and was told to stay away from the SRAM Rival components on the Tarmac b/c of my size?? A little upset about that, as I was set on the Rival. Oh well...

~Chris
