Fifty Plus (50+) - I'm not riding today either-walking my daughter down the aisle!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Plus writing quite a few checks............

But she is worth it! Plus it will be n+1 all over again in August for my oldest daughter.

I'm sure it invokes memories for many of you. My Son in Law has already mentioned something about mountain bikes.......

I got my wish from a month+ ago in being able to walk down the aisle without limping, too.

It's obvious that the young lady got her looks from her mother, enjoy one of the longest walks on Earth, remember the first time you held her, now it will be some other guy's job to take care of her and you just get to worry he's doing a proper job. Congratulations to all of you.

Good decision!

At some point in time she's the one who will be selecting your nursing home so try not to upset her.

As for "one of the longest walks on earth," I've done it 3 times and they all seemed way too short to me.

Congratulations Joe! So glad your health recovered in time for this special day.

Sounds like you won't buying any new bikes this year. ;)

Best wishes to all of you! Nice photo too. She looks just like you hope a bride will look. Maybe even a little better!

That's delightful! Congratulations.

I have two daughters: 21 and 18 yrs old. I can't imagine what that will be like. I'm dreading it, because I won't be able to hold back the tears myself. I love them both so much, and want them to have their own families, obviously. But the entire thought is overwhelming for me...

No question it was a day full of very many emotions as many of you have experienced. The Father/Daughter dance was a really tough one to get through holding my little girl that had grown up way too quickly--especially with Butterfly Kisses playing the background!! We were very fortunate to have a perfect weather plus a lot of the groom's and my family in attendance. Everything went as my daughter had envisioned and planned. My ankle started bothering me some towards the end of the day after being on my feet for such a long time but it was a good tired.
