:) Hi...
I'm new here...and I'd like to share my biking experience...
Traffic in my city, Jakarta, Indonesia is totally disorganized. there is only a few biker (including me) who dare to fight with motorcycles and city buses here. most of us using a sidewalk as our path.
I use to biking to my office, its about 10km from my home. Everyday I have to fight with motorcyclists and city buses who don't care with the traffic rules.
Luckily I can do a few biking techniques which motorcylist cannot do such as bunny hop, pedal kick, etc. it is good to face over ditch with bunny hop. or I can left hop to sidewalk or pedalkicking to jump to the sidewalk.
It's fun and I can kick those motorcylists ***...

I've never been to Jakarta, but if the traffic's anything like Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok, then my hat is off to you sir. I'd love to come and ride traffic like that one day. Some people look for hairy mountains to ride down for a thrill. Me, I like hairy traffic. The nearest I've come to traffic like that was riding into Florence, Italy during evening rush hour, with the extra thrill that I had no idea where I was going.

I was in Hanoi about 8 years ago. There still had not been a lot of people from the United States there yet. I'm six feet tall and have red hair. I don't know how many accidents I caused riding around with people staring at me. Even though the roads were very crowded the riders were considerant. Cars barely existed and the motorcycles were all Honda 50cc's. They were quiet and didn't put out a lot of smoke. I understand the rest of asia is not so easy to ride in. The only other place I rode was in Nagoya Japan. It remined me of riding through mid town Manhattan.
