Yes, just spokes...Is there anywhere you can buy decent spokes that come out for under 50 cents each, or whatever they range?

Have you asked your local bike shops/co-ops?
My co-op charges $20 a bundle (with nipples) in any lengths or amount (enough for one wheel), albeit straight gauge DT Swiss Champion.
