Sorry, but I'm a complete noob when it comes to this. But I'm planning on getting a new wound up fork for my marta, however wound up measures in mm. I called Affinity and they told me that the rake size was 43 degrees and when asked what that was in millimeters, the guy responds "I don't know". So that wasn't much help. So now I'm turning on here for advice from you guys. Thanks!

Rake is measured im mm, not degrees.

As Shimagnolo says, rake is the dimensional offset of the fork dropouts from the steering axis. It is always measured in millimeters or inches and is the right angle distance the from the extended steering axis to the center of the dropout.

Yeah agree'd! I also just looked at affinitys website for specs on the lo pro, and they also have fork rake as 43 degrees as well. I need to find out since I'll be starting my hunt for my wound up

its 43mm. 43 degrees of rake would be at least 340mm of rake.

^ agreed. Degrees of anything is probably head angle, and 43 of that would be insane.

there it is. someone from affinity needs to come forward to prove that they arent all total imbeciles. every size of the lo pro is listed with a head tube angle of "7? degrees" and "55cm" bottom bracket drop.

All of their spec pages are messed up.
First, there are discrepancies with the letters used in the drawings and the charts below the drawings.:twitchy:
And for a real belly laugh, look at the BB drop specs.:roflmao2:

Okay so "43 degrees" is a discreptancy? Perhaps the guy working at affinity at this very moment is just clueless? He told me to google the "conversion" because he was swamped at work. What gives?

think about it. 43 degrees is a lot (almost half of a right angle) there's no way that degrees is correct your fork would look like the lowrider above. it's probably 43mm. bring your bike into a LBS. a good one should be able to measure the rake for you if you dont trust your own measurements. what's your head tube angle?
