Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - conversion to a singlespeed

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
so i just picked up this bike for $20 and i wanna convert it to a singlespeed with a flip-flop hub. i'm new to the world of road bikes and singlespeeds... anyone have any tips on conversion?

Wow... $20 for a Benotto in good condition? Nice steal. I hope you can sleep at night.
haha yeah, its it pretty sweet condition. it has a couple dings with some rust (probably was sitting in a garage for a long while before being brought to the thrift store) but other than that it's great. im stoked cause i've been wanting a road bike for ages but all my $$$ is tied up with more pressing commitments...
