Hey guys, I have been saving for some time for a 'real' mountain bike, and I finally saved enough for the one I have been lusting after.
My ride is a 2010 Kona Nunu that I got at dealer price, as overstock from last year. Apparently Kona re-introduced the Nunu half way through last year with plans to go into full force with the model this year.
Now for what you guys really care about:

Post up pics of your Nunu's if you've got one.
Thanks,
Ryan :)

Very nice. I like the green and black color scheme. And I was unaware of the Nunu as a model, so I have just learned something.

Very few people know that both the fish and the High School Musical 2 song "Humuhumunukunukuapua'a" inspired the Kona Nunu.
Looks nice.

Well done- the Nunu is a great little bike.
As far as the name goes Kona's website says, "...we re-introduce the Nunu. Named for a god that personifies the vast freedom of the ocean..." For a long time, Kona had a bike in the lineup called the "humuhumunukunukuapua'a". THAT bike was inspired by the fish. :-j

I don't recall that fish spawning the Nunu...I do however remember the fish spawning the Kona Humuhumunukunukuapua'a:

The Nunu was named for a god that personifies the vast freedom of the ocean according to Konaworld.
Not that it matters...

No you don't. A dirty Nunu is nothing to wish for. The shots you need to take to clear it up are terrible.

So how's it ride? Have you been out much on it? There is still too much snow where I'm at to ride off road.

Not bad at all. I like it alot. It's great on the flats and downhill, the climbing leaves a bit to be desired. But I'm not to concerned about that. The geometry and fit is spot on, just like my Kona commuter bike. It's a bit porky at 30 pounds, but alot of that comes from the fork.
I have been out a bit, probably have a little over a hundred K on it. Mostly on logging roads and a few trails. The riding is limited when you don't have a driver's license :p
Overall, I'm veeeery stoked about the new rig.

I'm still waiting for a bike that does the climbing for me. . Seriously, I favor descending over climbing. I don't mind climbing, but the fun part for me is usually the run down the other side of the hill.

I understand. Although I have a license, I still don't like to drive very far in order to ride. Were I living in a more urban area, I'd probably be more of a roadie--perish the thought.
