So my first fixie has been on the road for a month, after restoring an old Ricardo frame from the junkyard. I've got some pretty standard 700c flip-flops free from a friend, very cheap ones though. Looking to upgrade to some deep-V's or more stylized wheel-sets. I have a max of $250 unfortunately. I've been looking at EighthInch Tessa and Julian V2 models. Any better deals out there???

Also will non-machined wheels still work with a front brake? Asking because Eighth-inch only orders in front & back wheel-set either machined or non-machined, so yeah...

Thanks in advance guys :)

the wabi set is definitely the best bang for the buck as far as performance

Brakes work semi-decent on NMSW, but the finish will get ruined rather quick. It's not the hard ano found on older mtb rims.
