hi my names Justin. new to this site, hoping to find some help. I have just reacently bought a bike with a 3 speed nexus equiped with a coaster brake. im trying to find out if its possible to convert to a nexus 8 with the roller brake? thanks for any usabe info.
Yes it's probably possible by switching out the rear wheel and shift lever. It won't be cheap, but it can be done.

well my thought were to buy the nexus 8 with roller brake and the shifter that matches, but the bike has a coaster brake now. do you know if things will just bolt up. i called nexus and they said it wont.

Probably not. The 8-speed hub is wider then the 3-speed and you may need a new frame.
