Hey, I can get a real good deal on I-motion 9 coaster brake hub. I'd rather have it just be a freewheeling hub. If i disassemble the hub, remove the coaster arm, and replace with a spacer of equal size, will the hub act like a standard freewheelin hub?

I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work. If you really did get a smashing deal, you can always build it up and try, and if it doesnt work, sell it to someone who wants a coaster brake.

If you have access to a good machine shop and can figure out how to disable the driver for the brake and not destroy the hub in the process, go for it. I think you're better off getting a freewheel hub if that's what you want.
