It is miles from his house and not headed his way. So no fear.

Doing fine. The fires is about 10 miles south and a bit east, in a semi-wooded area frequented by large homes on horse acreage. I have been listening to the command radio channel on http://www.radioreference.com - thousands of public safety frequencies by state and county (colorado > Douglas County > South Metro Fire) - and as a former "brush popping" fire fighter -am duly impressed by the coordination of over 50 fire trucks, brush trucks, tenders, 2 helicopters, 2 tanker planes, etc., resulting in no injuries and no structures lost, despite 45 mph winds, 10% humidity and the driest winter on the Colorado plains.
The smoke drift went east of us. The fire is just a bit east of one of my riding trails (about 1-2 miles). They are estimating 750-1000 acres, but they are just guessing right now.

If you spit real hard south from E470 and Jordan, you will hit my house. I am right off (.5 miles west) the CC Trail.
