Hello all. I recently moved from New Jersey to Culver City. I am looking for a team to race with. I currently hold a CAT 4 license and am working on my CAT 3 upgrade. Any help would be appreciated.

Velo Club La Grange (http://www.lagrange.org/) is a good club in that area. I know a few of their cat 3s and they show good teamwork in their racing.

Do the local racer rides. Meet people. Join the club that has the people you like on it.

Show up to Pier Ride, Nichols, and Donut a few times and you'll get a good feel for the local teams. La Grange is by far the biggest club/team on the west side but there are probably other decent options as well. It's been a few years since I lived in the area, so I can't get any more specific than that.

I can put you in touch with a few of the riders on Big Orange if you want a cool smaller squad. The guys I know are mostly 4s trying to get to 3 as well.

edit: I'm sure someone from cali (or my contact) can tell you more about those rides too. I did a few with them last summer. Cool riding, although Culver City is usually a few miles from the start points.

Do the CBR races, meet and talk to people before and after the races.
