Hey All,

I have gotten hooked into cycling as a family activity and a great way to help maintain my weight. Today, I picked up a Trek Navigator 1.0 and think it should fit the bill nicely for my cruising/fun rides. I've been riding an old Roadmaster mountain bike that was gifted to me. I was finally able to check out a "real" bike shop- who was also a Trek dealer- and a test drive of the Navigator made me realize how poorly suited the Roadmaster was to my size and riding needs. In all fairness, The Roadmaster was influential in helping me lose weight and start this great hobby (after 20 years of basically non riding)- but the difference is night and day compared to the Trek.

Anyway, just wanted to share my good news with like minded folks! I don't post often here but read the majority of the threads each day and learn something new all the time. This is a great place- and thanks for all the help I've gotten so far!

I bought a Navigator 1.0 a couple of years ago, when I starting getting back into cycling. It is definitely a fun bike to ride and absolutely the most comfortable ride I've ever had. I'm mostly riding a hybrid these days but I still enjoy hopping on the Navigator and cruising around town. Have fun!

Thanks all! Going to try and break her in today weather permitting. I'm also signed up for a charity ride in a couple of weeks and think this will be perfect for a nice leisurely 12 miles or so with that.
