Classic & Vintage - Old Schwinn factory tool---Snap-On combo wrench. What am I looking at?

Came across this:

Someone said it was a headset wrench, but does not fit any Collegiate 70's model I've seen.

What am i looking at and for what models and years?

I iz confused.

Were not the Schwinns metric and till the 80's metric tools were not every where.
Could it just be part of a metric set sold for Schwinn? Just a thought.

So we talking this was used on LeMond racing bikes, 70' era fixies and competition bikes, or banana seat Orange Crate or Lemon Peel coaster brake specials?

There no size denomination on the tool so no idea if metric or standard.Just dual 70's era Schwinn stampings and a flare end combo set-up.

Looks like there's something stamped at the open end (left side) where the normal size stamping is. It looks like a regular Snap-on wrench made for Schwinn ..... what am I missing in the "nicest tool" realm ?

The one in my OP is same design but different stampings, but again, no one can seem to tell me what they fit on a Schwinn bike or anything at the Schwinn factory hence the disconnect.

does the open end measure 1" 3/16ths?

Ashtabula crankset bearing adjustment wrench?

Does it fit a freewheel removal tool? I use ASE sockets on all my FW removal tools, and I think the 1 & 1/4 socket fits the Park tools. Park made a number of the "Schwinn Approved" tools that I own.
