Par for the course, I did not think this project completely through.

I have a long cage Huret Jubilee RD removed from a Motobecane with a Huret dropout much like this one.

I want to use it on my '81 Schwinn Voyageur 11.8 with Campagnolo style dropouts similar to the one pictured below. Can I do so without modifying the existing dropout?

I've found photos of adapters on the Internet, but no photos of the Jubilee mounted on a Campy dropout with the adapter. Does the adapter effectively push the derailleur 2-3mm away from the dropout with an additional tab near the four o'clock position?

It'll work as long as you use this:

Nope. But you can find a Huret Jubilee parallelogram designed for a Campagnolo hanger, and carefully swap the cage over.

I believe there were two types: one for each. I recently got a Jubille frame with Campagnolo dropouts, and the Jubille derailler I bought years ago fits, luckily...

Yes, that's what I understand. My Jubilee is made for a Huret dropout.

It's a bit hard for me to tell, but it looks like an adapter like this (http://www.flickr.com/photos/28267220@N05/4446605387/) can solve the problem. If I can find one.

Neal, the picture you posted isn't showing for me. I'm hoping it is not a photo of an angle grinder.

This is another adapter.

My Jubilee is made for a Huret dropout.

I'm looking at mine. It has an aluminum integral stop just behind where the cable housing goes in. The bolt seems to be longer. What you've pictured seems like it could work...

My question: Does the nut on the mounting bolt go between the frame and derailler or inside the dropout?

I believe it is a "keeper" to be used on the inside of the hanger. Derailleur > hanger > nut

Shoot - I forgot that Huret made that thick adapter capable of getting the Huret stop out of the way for mounting on Campag dropouts. My mistake.

I've got one, I can take a picture of it for reference. I really don't want to sell it just yet. It's for a Huret Jubilee to a Campag dropout.

Good photos would be a big help, Michael. I wonder if one could be fabricated. I know of one pretty talented metalsmith on the forum that might accept the challenge.

See, you *do* need that big hammer!

It looks simple to make, you'll see. I bet the person making it could make a few of them and sell them easily. Pictures tonight when I get home.

I have this exact Jubilee. In fact it looks like the one I have, they could have used it for this photo.
