Bicycle Mechanics - Magura/XTR Drop Bar Hydraulic Disc Brake

I have access to Magura HS77 hydraulic drop bar levers as well as XTR 965 calipers. I was looking at a Japanese bike blog, where a guy mated the two together, making a hydraulic drop bar brake. I don't understand Japanese and want to try this out, so does anyone know if this a straighforward project? Importantly, I have these questions: What hose should I use? Are there any special fitments/adapters or small parts needed? Any information or steps to help me would be appreciated. Thanks

I believe the Magura road levers are for their Rim Brakes , like the HS33,
which i find the best V brake on the market.

There is No Expansion chamber in the lever , which is compulsory for disc brakes.
None are made without it .
It is a closed system, once you bleed out the air you're done .
they are remarkably trouble free , HS33 pads snap into the ends of the 2 slave cylinders.

They made a road brake back in the day slave was dual piston,
and fluid pressure spread the pistons, dual pivots moved the pads to the rim.

the Hydrostop rim brake in the dual separate piston design has been produced for 20 years.

I have long coveted pair to use in a dual control setup.
as putting the 2nd lever's hose in the bleed screw, of the then middle lever ,
makes the brakes work in either position .

Yep, Magura Rim brake levers can not be used with disc calipers, as they are a closed system, discs need an Open system, if you can translate the Japanese, you may be able to understand what they have done, but would not be a safe or recomended option.

Given that the UCI has let discs into Cyclocross, would be very supprised if road Hydraulics are not avaliable as STI's from Shimano within 24 months, or just use cable discs, both Shimano and Avid do road versions

Best to just get a set of Avid cable disc road lever travel calipers.

I saw a cable to dual master cylinder block via German Bike trade show coverage.

cannot imagine a hydraulic road brifter, as the space in the lever for the shift mech occupies it.
no room left over for expansion tank and master piston.
Though a electronic/hydraulic combination is possible
May have to sell your new Audi to afford it.

Give it a year of so, any they will find room, or do something like the DI2 Battery pack

Can we talk about the bike in your link real quick? I'm in awe. Light weight road parts on a full suspension mtb frame using 20" carbon HED rims and TT bars. I wonder if it rides like a bike friday.
