Well its 72.10029187305ft with the 03' DJ3 because it was 2lbs lighter. Adding the extra weight bumped it up to 82.10029187305ft

He edited it.
He wrote "whats the biggest drop a dj3 can handle, SOME1 PLZ ANSWER ME!!!1" or something like that. I get a lil pissed off sometimes.
Why do people ask questions like this? I don't mean this as criticism necessarily, but I don't understand why this seems like a valid question to anyone.
BTW...good answers :D
Just ride and find out your and your bike's capabilities!

can you really go do a 82 foot drop on that little travel fork? are we talking the XC dj3, or the downhill dj3

I doubt any fork could take 82 ft. If there is one...it is in fact just one...the guy dropping would be in the hospital, but the fork MIGHT live :)

Don't you usually land on the rear wheel from drops? :/

Not to tranny...and really over about 7 ft...most people don't do drop to flat. I would hate to attempt a 10footer to flat...bad for the bike and your body. When landing to tranny...ideally you want to land even

The drop calculator is simple.
Eye up a 1 ft drop, add 30 / 15 * 40 and then brag to all friends about how cool you are you can drop 82 ft :) ;)
