Foo - RubenX(TM) is alive and well... with some stories to tell....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Oh well, where I begin.

Outsourcing @ work is near. Outsourcing Survival plans have been put in effect, taking most of my fora-wora time, priorities you know. It all should go well, financially... lots of changes but doable.

Fiance change jobs and have more time to spend together... meaning less foo and more....

Which leads me to the big news: We are pregnant!
Nine weeks in...

Ergo I wanna hurry up previous plans of asking father for hand in marriage, get ring, propose, get married, etc... the whole chibang.

...Also, during recent storm force winds, big gigantic tree fell down from neighbor yard into Rube's yard, taking down power lines. HUGE freaking tree, as big as the house. We are OK tho, and no damage to the structure. Just no power/internet/phone for a few days.... a bored Rube' with bored Rube(TM) kids, bored pregnant girlfriend with even more bored Rube(TM) fetus inside... lots of boredom. I'm glad power is back.

I'm still smoke free and enjoying the savings, OMG I was wasting a lot of money. Oh and evil bankers are garnishing 16% effing percent of my wages.... apparently they got tired of mah claiming to be broke and not paying the student loans... bastards!

Other than that, Rube is bored.

Congrats on the new Rube baby! You'll wish you were bored while you plan the wedding and prepare for the new baby. Get your naps while you still can, Ruben.

How long until they start protesting their king and become the victim of a "military action"?

Haha, whenever someone tells me they are pregnant, the first thing I think is not usually "oh, they had sex," but "ewwwww, they actually had sex with [partner]?????" I am sure someone thought the same thing about my wife/me both times we got the preggers, too, though, so fair is fair....

Me too. I thought I was just weird. Now I'm happy to know that I'm still weird - but with company.

When someone tells me they're having a boy, I like to say "Ohhh...that means you have a penis inside of you right now!!!"

The creep factor coupled with their facial expressions is priceless.

Ah, yes, I even said that to my own wife a few times (both kids are boys). I would not recommend it, by the way.

I also told her that now my friends know....never mind.

Oh, like "at least my friends know she puts out."

AND

I said to her mother, "I think this one is mine this time." That didn't go over too well, either.

AND

When someone asks her when she was due or said "congratulations" I stood behind her shaking my head as if to say "she's not actually pregnant."

OR

For some reason, with both boys, people kept thinking they were girls, even though they were in standard blue and looked like boys. I never corrected them. Then when people would ask what their names were, I would make up girls' names so I wouldn't embarrass the stranger who thought they were girls.

Ya, I may come across as immature here, but, really, that's about it. I am pretty boring otherwise.

Those are hilarious. I especially like the penultimate one.
