So, I recently rediscovered my love for biking, and that's what brought me here.
I know I need pictures, but I'll add them, I promise.
I rode trails as a kid, and went to BMX around age 20. I dropped off of BMX after about a year, because I enlisted in the Marine Corps, and didn't really have time for it.
My favourite bike was a 2005 Diamondback Joker that I absolutely adored. (I wrecked it out pretty badly, and wound up scrapping it, because I couldn't dedicate the time to put it back together, and couldn't keep it, due to space constraints...)
So, what brought me here:
I was looking to find a bike to work on, and really, the more thrashed, the more fun it would be. I enjoy fixing broken things, and I found a pretty broken, traffic-cone-orange, 18-speed Huffy. The frame was straight, but that was about it. I felt bad for the poor thing, and so I took it home. I replaced the warped front wheel, and since I've been pretty busy, my brother swapped the derailleur for me. It's heavy, it's neon, but it's a hell of a lot of fun. I don't particularly need anything sophisticated to enjoy riding. I just enjoy the experience. Plus, if something horrific happens to it, it's not a huge investment lost.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to riding a lot more, and to being on this forum!

Yeah, I've been procrastinating on getting pictures of it. I'm going out riding tomorrow, and I'll take some pictures then.

Cool. My first bike was a 1952 Huffy.
