That video reminds of a guy that removed his transmission in the driveway. He was probably from the south and used scissor jacks like that. Anyway, the driveway was slanted so he put in park and jacked up the car. Crawled under and started to remove the tranny. Of course, when he got around to disconnecting the tranny from the engine, there was nothing to prevent the wheels from rotating and the car started to roll down the driveway. It of course rolled off the jacks, slammed down and left him as a bloody smear down the driveway... heh, heh...

Yes, and all it requires is carrying a fully charged heavy duty drill in your car at all times.

I think I'll stick with the manual. For home I'll use the hydraulic jack, which happens to cost less than a good cordless drill.

Yeah, like you jack up your car often enough to need one. Canadian Tire sells one that doesn't use a drill, it is supposed to be powered.

I think mine was $60, maybe $70. I needed a new jack to get under a lowered car. It's working out extremely well so far.

Wow... that's my same jack! My fiance got it for me back in October last year from Harbor Freight too... I fixed countless whacka whackas puff whackas with it!

It could be deeper. I could have chosen a deeper one for about the same price, but that one weighed ten times as much and was twice the size. The aluminum one is much more managable in my garage.

Also, note that my car isn't slammed.
