I was riding with a friend and he got 2 pinch flats right after each other. while he was putting the tire back on the front tire just started leaking :) Well we only had 1 spare so he showed me how to emergency fix the tube for the ride back. He tied the tube at the puncture as tight as he could, put it back on the rim, pumped it up, and it held for the rest of the ride. Never seen that before.

Whats Your story?

i've never heard of doing that but i once fixed a flat by wraping some spare electrical tape around the tube.

I've stuffed a tire with leaves in order to get back to the trailhead without damaging the rim.

Lmao, funny you should say that, last week i went riding with a group and decided to have a go at jumping a 2 metre river, good news, i did it :D, bad news my tyres pinched and i got a class snakebite :S

I took the tyre off, and found the holes, only to find my mate had used all the patches on a previous ride, so in my desparation, picked up a couple of leaves, and glued them to the tube, the leaf stuck, and was minimising the amount of ar coming out, so i put the tyre back on and continued riding, only to smash my NEW rotor on a rock 1/4 of a mile further down the trail and have to walk home anyway :(

I read about doing that somewhere. Feels like 10 or 15psi...neat trick
