well here i am again, doing the whole state ur opinion thing! now it's vampire movies. best vampire movie with brains behind the plot and story so far in my opinion is still "interview with a vampire". after that, no deal for the rest. i must say tho, in terms of action and excitement, bram stokers dracula and underworld are pulling neck and neck. i particularly liked underworld cos it was a successful crossover of my two best horror characters, the vampire and the werewolf. van helsing was a washout in that, with a very lame plot and absolutely no desire to make the movie a bit serious. count "dracula"...? NO WAY!!! have fun pips
I'm a traditionalist. Nothing like the original.... Nosferatu, 1922 B/W. Max Shreck was the greatest!

Great Choice Stacey, may I suggest to you an old German film "Vampyre" much like Nosferatu. I enjoyed Dracula 2000 very very sensual and "Underworld" as well. Both fairly new and good vampire flicks.

Ah children. As some of you might know, the 70's and 80's was the golden age of horror. Check out Fright Night, Martin, Let's Scare Jessica to Death, and anything with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. And those are just the vampire movies! Something about the crappy cinematography from that era always gives the creeps.

Try "Near Dark", one of my favorites for a vampire flick. Kinda scary, kinda camp, kinda bloody http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093605/
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is pretty camp/funny as well(TV show was better)

Shadow of the Vampire (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0189998/). You can't go wrong with Malkovich and Defoe.
