Hi.
I'm looking at heading down the fixed gear / single speed bike route. I'm only using this bike commuting and i live in London. I ride about 18 miles a day five days a week.
I'd like to know if anyone out there is using a track bike for this kind of journey and if so how are they finding it. I've seen a few guy's nipping about in London on fixed track bikes with a front brake and it looks like a lot of fun.
Looking at Condor / Bianchi / Felt for the bike in question... Is there anything i need to be aware of? Riding angle / position? Injuries? Comfort?
My commute usually takes about 30 minutes or so with a couple of minor hills. I like the look of a basic fixie so it's easy to maintain and has less chance of getting stolen than a road bike.
Any tips, advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
J.
